The Platinum Orb

The Platinum Orb was an 11 ft tall spherical art installation, created from 70 recycled bicycle wheels, symbolizing Her Majesty’s 70-year reign. The installation celebrated the diversity and unity of the Commonwealth with national flowers made from recycled materials, highlighting sustainability and environmental responsibility. Displayed on The Long Walk in Windsor, it engaged over 1,000 participants, including local school children, volunteers, and community members. The project emphasized sustainability through material reuse, sparked community engagement, and created a visually striking installation that reflected a consciousness of climate change.
